A Dead Formic Egg from Gavin Hood’s 2012 sci-fi adaptation, Ender’s Game. In the film, Ender Wiggin (Asa Butterfield) is recruited to lead the International Fleet against the alien race known as Formics. This piece was created as set dressing for the scene when Ender meets face to face with the Formic queen. This egg is constructed of resin that was painted grey and finished with melted plastic pieces stretched along the outside meant to mimic a webbing effect. This particular egg features a dismembered outer shell, which reveals part of a Formic fetus attached to the inside wall. Egg measures approx. 6-8″
