From the 1988 classic stop motion series Gumby Adventures, this is a “Jack the Whipper” Puppet. This exact puppet can be seen in the opening intro of Gumby Adventures when Gumby glides across the red and green checkerboard along with being the villainous character in the episode “A Miner Affair”. Jack is known as a very overweight miner who is well-known for handling his trademark weapon, a whip. This puppet comes on the original base used in the opening sequence along with being signed on the bottom by Jay Davis, one of the key crew members of the Clokey Production team.
